Program of the summer school for PARENTS "The Psychology of Family Relations"

The American University of Central Asia is officially opening two new laboratories: a geology laboratory for the Department of Applied Geology and a media laboratory for the Department of Television, Cinematography and Visual Art. Both laboratories will be functional starting in the 2016-2017 academic year, the same time as their respective departments.

Maria Temmes, doctoral candidate in the Department of Gender Studies, and Elena Popa, who received her MA in philosophy from CEU and successfully defended her doctoral dissertation in philosophy at CEU in January 2016, gained valuable experience at AUCA this academic year through CEU’s Global Teaching Fellowship Program (GTFP).

Kaliia Kubatbekova, a junior in Journalism and Mass Communications at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA), took a moment to talk to us about how her SILC funding helped develop her as a social entrepreneur and prepare her for future leadership in Kyrgyzstan.

Seth Fearey has already lived and worked in the Kyrgyz Republic for seven years, making a name for himself as one of our student’s favorite professors in AUCA’s MBA program. BEST MIGRATION RESEARCH PROJECT PROPOSAL
The research project proposal is welcome on any topic concerning modern migration. Students are invited to address the pressing issues in migration in their research activities and bring them to the attention of policymakers, and general public in Kyrgyzstan or Central Asia, promoting migrants’ rights protection and information awareness among migrants themselves.
