Closing Ceremony of the Outreach Development Program for Afghan Refugee Children
On Thursday, August 7th, students of the Outreach Development Program for Afghan Refugee Children, parents, project team, and special guests from Spirit of America Alex Ebsary and Haddie Beckham and Indira Sagynova the senior coordinator for Afghan students at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) gathered with joy to celebrate the closing ceremony.

Environmental Science Summer School for International Youth in Kyrgyzstan
In the summer, from July 12 to July 24, 2025, a select group of high school students from China embarked on an academic expedition to answer a critical question: How do local communities in the heart of Central Asia adapt to pressing global challenges? Set against the stunning backdrop of Kyrgyzstan’s Tian Shan mountains, this immersive Environmental Science program was designed to move learning far beyond the traditional classroom, transforming participants into active field researchers.

Summer school Young frontiers
        From July 23 to July 31, 2025, the International Summer School organized by Kyungpook National University (Korea) jointly with a number of local universities, such as AUCA, KNU and Osh State University, on the theme “KNU Young Frontiers” was held in Bishkek, Issyk-Kul and Osh.

Opening ceremony of the Incheon Innovation Cluster (IIC) Branch in Kyrgyzstan
On July 10, 2025, the Department of Environmental Sustainability and Climate Science has opened a branch of the Incheon Innovation Cluster based on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which was signed between American University of Central Asia, Bishkek City Hall and Incheon Innovation Cluster.

AUCA Library Hosts OSUN Library Staff Mobility Fellows
From June 11–17, 2025, the AUCA Library welcomed four visiting librarians as part of the OSUN Library Staff Mobility Fellowship. The fellows — Palash Bosgang (Bard College, USA), Adelina Barzachka and Radina Kitanova (American University in Bulgaria), and Win Zayar Tun (Parami University, Myanmar) — engaged with the AUCA Library team and actively participated in the “Academic Libraries: Trends and Innovations” conference, held at AUCA on June 12–13.

AUCA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Azizi Group
On Friday, July 11 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Azizi Group, a leading UAE-based real estate and investment company, to provide $500,000 ($260,000 for AY 2025-26 and $240,000 for AY 2026-27) in financial support for the AUCA Afghan students whose education has been disrupted by the suspension of international funding.

The Central Asian Studies Network in Germany (CASNiG), the American University of Central Asia (AUCA)’s Department of International and Comparative Politics (ICP) and the Institut Français d'Etudes sur l'Asie Centrale (IFEAC) co-organized the 6th Annual CASNiG conference titled "RE-Making the City: Urbanization with its opportunities and challenges in Central Asia" in Bishkek on 8-10 June 2025.
