On December 17, 2025, the Department of Environmental Sustainability and Climate Science (ESCS) in the American University of Central Asia (AUCA), together with the World People United (WPU) organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea, installed sensors to investigate the air quality in Bishkek. 

Associate Professor of the Faculty of Environmental Sustainability and Climatology at the American University of Central Asia, Doctor of Sciences Sagynbek Orunbaev, in collaboration with the University of Kentucky and national partners, presented the results of the study “Assessment of Springs as Water Supply Sources for Rural Areas of the Fergana Valley in Southwestern Kyrgyzstan” at the annual conference of the American Geophysical Union (AGU), held in New Orleans, USA.

 
 

On December 3, the AUCA Library and Department of Television, Cinema and Media Arts hosted a presentation of the new publication "New Cinema in Kyrgyzstan".

On November 26, the American University of Central Asia hosted another session of its International and Comparative Politics Public Lecture Series at the CH Maker Space, featuring Kojiro Nakai, the WFP Representative and Country Director in the Kyrgyz Republic.

 
On November 26, AUCA CTLT and SSD hosted a university-wide roundtable dedicated to the role of Artificial Intelligence in classrooms. The event brought together faculty and students to consider how AI is transforming educational practices and to reflect on the responsibilities and opportunities this transformation creates for the university community.

On November 14, the classrooms of the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) turned into an unusual “laboratory” — the No Hate Lab. Instead of boring lectures, the program featured social experiments: the hosts launched an “empathy system,” a stand-up comedian shared personal stories, and participants immersed themselves in the world of TikTok challenges and meme battles.

 
As part of the ongoing Ambassador Talks series at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA), the university welcomed H.E. Mr. Siroco Messerli, Ambassador of Switzerland to the Kyrgyz Republic, for an engaging discussion on the longstanding bilateral relations between the two countries and Switzerland’s evolving foreign policy priorities.

  On November 12, the American University of Central Asia hosted a new session of the Ambassador Talks series featuring H.E. Ms. Monika Lenhard, the German Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic. The discussion focused on Germany’s evolving foreign policy in Central Asia, with particular emphasis on supporting diverse communities, promoting gender equality, and expanding educational access in the region.
