On April 12, 2023, the AUCA Academic Advising office hosted the first annual Transfer Day, where students had a chance to pick up information and ask questions about transfer between departments.

The Department of Television, Cinema, and Media Arts is one of the youngest faculties of the American University of Central Asia, founded in 2016.

The journalist Maksim Poletaev, an AUCA alumni, interviewed the administration, faculty and staff of Bard, and also talked with students and graduates of AUCA who study there for master's degree and exchange programs.

On April 15th, the AUCA Development Office/Career Office organized one of the major events under the wings of the American University of Central Asia. Career Fair 2023 was attended by many students and companies who came to recruit, network, and have fun.

April is traditionally considered the month of books because two book holidays are celebrated: April 2 - Children's Book Day, and April 23 - World Book Day. Combining these two holidays, the AUCA Library held a Book Day on April 13.

It is with great sadness that I inform you that Dr. William (Bill) Newton-Smith, AUCA’s former chair of the Board and long-time board member, passed away this week at the age of 80.
