On September 26, the ICP Department of AUCA organized a lecture featuring Dr. Maria Adele Carrai, Assistant Professor of Global China Studies at NYU Shanghai. Dr. Carrai’s research focuses on the history of international law in East Asia, and she was invited to share her insights with AUCA community.

On September 25, the AUCA Makerspace CH hosted another session of the ICP Ambassador Talks series, featuring H.E. Nicholas Bowler, the British Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic.   Ambassador Bowler delivered an engaging lecture on the concept of soft power and its continuing importance in international relations.

The American University of Central Asia (AUCA) hosted H.E. Mr. Nicolas Faye, the Ambassador of France, for a lecture titled "French Foreign Policy in Central Asia." The event, opened by the President of AUCA, highlighted the growing ties between Europe and Central Asia, with France positioning itself as a key partner.

The Orientation Program 2025 at AUCA kicked off on Monday, August 11th, welcoming 350 bright and ambitious freshmen into the AUCA family. This marks the start of an exciting chapter not only for the new students, but also for the entire AUCA community.

In the summer, from July 12 to July 24, 2025, a select group of high school students from China embarked on an academic expedition to answer a critical question: How do local communities in the heart of Central Asia adapt to pressing global challenges? Set against the stunning backdrop of Kyrgyzstan’s Tian Shan mountains, this immersive Environmental Science program was designed to move learning far beyond the traditional classroom, transforming participants into active field researchers.

The Central Asian Studies Network in Germany (CASNiG), the American University of Central Asia (AUCA)’s Department of International and Comparative Politics (ICP) and the Institut Français d'Etudes sur l'Asie Centrale (IFEAC) co-organized the 6th Annual CASNiG conference titled "RE-Making the City: Urbanization with its opportunities and challenges in Central Asia" in Bishkek on 8-10 June 2025.

On a recent occasion in April 2025, the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) welcomed His Excellency Mr. Hideki Goda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kyrgyz Republic, for a guest lecture titled “Ambassador Talks: Japan and Kyrgyzstan.

On April 18, 2025, the AUCA Career Development Center successfully held the AUCA Career Fair 2025, bringing together students, alumni, employers, and partners for a day full of networking, exploration, and new opportunities.
