The Spotlight Initiative recently hosted an award ceremony at the AUCA to celebrate the graduates of the kNOwVAWdata online course. Launched in 2022, the course is part of the regional program to address violence against women (VAW) and promote gender equality in Central Asia.

About the speaker:Dr. Kyaw Moe Tun, an Oxford and Yale alumnus, returned to Myanmar in 2014 to empower the youth and foster responsible leadership through liberal arts and sciences education. In 2017, he founded Parami Institute to offer innovative programs for Myanmar college graduates.

The #QyzTalks event dedicated to the International Day of Girls was held at AUCA on October 7th.

In honor of the International Day of Girls, which is celebrated annually on October 11, UNICEF, together with partners of the Girls project, held an event "QyzTalks.

In August of this year, AUCA graduates - Askar Sydykov, Uluk Kydyrbayev, Director of the MBA program, Saikal Anvar kyzy, as well as leaders of the business communities of Kyrgyzstan - Dastan Abdyldayev, Rustam Baltabayev and Gulnara Kalikova, together with other participants from Central Asian countries, took part in the regional program "Leadership Academy for Development" (LAD), which was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

  My name is Ilyas Kanybek, and I am AUCA’s Anthropology class of  2022. I spent four transformative years at AUCA, and looking back, I feel grateful and privileged for having met remarkable people, some of whom have become close friends of mine.

The Central Asia Regional Information Network (CARIN) Workshop, which explored environmental research and collaborative initiatives, was held from September 13-17, 2023, in the Issyk Kul region of the Kyrgyz Republic.

My name is Toktosunova Zhamilia, and I am a fourth-year student majoring in the Anthropology Department. I aspire to pursue osteoarchaeology in the future that is why I chose AUCA to get my education. In 2022, I was admitted to the SUSI program.
