Investing in the future of AUCA
Professor for the MBA program and consultant with the Tian Shan Policy Center at AUCA, Seth Fearey is donating $2,000 to AUCA.  $1,000 will go to the Tian Shan Policy Center where he has been working this summer.  The other $1,000 goes to the construction of the new AUCA campus.

Psychology Department of AUCA offers a course on autism and applied behavior analysis for the first time in Central Asia
In 2013, with the support of Open Society Institute, AUCA Psychology Department, “Hand in hand” public association and William Edwards from Clemson University, designed a joint project on developing a program of course “Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis”. Olga Yarova, faculty of the AUCA Psychology Department will become first certified behavior analyst next year in Kyrgyzstan.

Surfing Waves of Change in Silicon Valley - Guest Lecture by Seth Fearey
The AUCA Alumni Council with support of the Alumni Office initiates a series of guest lectures for all AUCA alumni and friends who have a passion for knowledge and willing to expand their area of expertise. On September 3 at 18:00, Professor Seth Fearey will present a lecture on Surfing Waves of Change in Silicon Valley in Room 315 of the AUCA Main Building.

Presentation by the AUCA Anthropology Club on "Religious resources: achieving and converting resources in Central Asia - Kyrgyzstan's new mosques"
The Anthropolgy Club at AUCA will hold a session by Ms. Yanti Hoelzchen, PhD Candidate at the Tuebingen University (Germany) Collaborative Research Center's “Resource Cultures Socio-cultural Dynamics in the Use of Resources” program. The session will present a talk (in English) on:
 
"Religious resources: achieving and converting resources in Central Asia - Kyrgyzstan's new mosques"
 
The event will take place on Wednesday, Sept 3rd at 17.30 in Room 220 in the American University of Central Asia main building.

Orientation Program 2014
The opening ceremony of this year’s AUCA New Student Orientation was replete with song and dance, ranging from a modern re-telling of the Greek myth of ‘The Golden Apple’ (set to Kelis’ “Milkshake”) to the rousing anthem of “Made in AUCA”.
